Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Buffalo County Court Docket, a private public-record reference resource. They do not replace Nebraska court rules, the terms of an official state portal, or instructions from a Buffalo County clerk. By using the site or an embedded third-party feature, a visitor accepts these terms and any applicable terms of the outside service.

NO FCRA USE. Buffalo County Court Docket is private and unaffiliated with a government agency or court. It is not a consumer reporting agency. Material here and any third-party feature must not be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance eligibility, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act regulated purpose.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent reference resource. It does not operate Nebraska JUSTICE, keep an official Register of Actions, set hearings, accept pleadings, or issue court copies. Its role is limited to describing public Buffalo County search, calendar, and records channels.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is general information, not an official court statement, legal advice, or a substitute for a signed order. Confirm a setting, filing, case status, or fee with the Buffalo County Court or Buffalo District Court office that holds the matter.

3. Rules for Using This Site

A visitor may use the resource lawfully and responsibly. A visitor may not:

  • Violate a federal, state, or local law
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk another person
  • Use content to make a prohibited FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to site systems
  • Run automated scraping that burdens the service
  • Disrupt other visitors' access to the site

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

The site does not prepare consumer reports, background checks, or a screening product. Do not use site material or a linked result to make a decision about credit, employment, housing, tenant screening, insurance, licensing, or benefits when the FCRA applies.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here advises a visitor how to handle a charge, claim, deadline, order, or hearing. A licensed Nebraska attorney can advise on an individual matter. Clerks can explain procedures and records channels but cannot give legal advice.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Public court information changes. A record can be delayed, corrected, sealed, removed under a retention rule, or differently displayed across services. The operator makes no promise that a page, link, search result, or third-party result is complete, current, or available without interruption.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External links and widget providers operate independently. Their availability, data practices, results, prices, and terms are theirs alone. An official Nebraska portal's own terms and court rules control use of that portal.

8. Intellectual Property

The original site text, design elements, and code are protected by applicable law. No permission is granted to reproduce or adapt them beyond lawful personal use without written authorization.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for loss or damages arising from use of the resource, a linked service, an unavailable record, or reliance on information that should have been verified with the official custodian.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to protect the operator from claims, losses, and reasonable expenses that result from that user's unlawful use of the service or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska. Any dispute concerning use of this private resource is subject to applicable Nebraska law and the proper court's jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

The operator may update these terms when operations or law require. The version published on this page applies after it is posted.
